There's no 'end' in this weekend . . .

What a weekend. It started out with a rough Friday at work. Immediately after I got home, there was Myan, my pups, Lanny, my Mom -- all to greet me -- so immediately I felt more relaxed. Well, I think I did. You'll have to ask them if you're not going to believe me.

Friday night was quite tame. Larnie and Julia stopped by to hang out with us for a while -- but they did forget to take Myan back home with them to spend the night. I'm not sure how they could have forgotten her -- but we'll chalk it up to -- lack of sleep on their parts.

Saturday morning rolled around slowly and when I finally got upright (around 8:30) I got dressed (barely) and my Mom and I worked on sorting her boxes from storage. Piles for Goodwill, Piles to Keep, Garbage. I took a truckload (partial) to Goodwill on Saturday morning. On Saturday afternoon I took a load of garbage (of mine) out as well. Lanny came over early -- thankfully -- so he watched Myan while Mom and I sorted.

Sunday morning. This is the power-cleanin' day. I cleaned, sorted, lifted, packed, vacuumed, laundered -- I was SuperJenn. Oh, did I mention paint? No, I didn't. I also painted. I'm trying to get the loft done as much as I can (clean up, removal of unnecessary tools, and painted) before my Dad shows up on Friday to finish the trim, etc.

My office and gym are giong to be done soooon! Isn't that what I always say? Well, I'm sayin' it again.

Time to run. Hope you had as eventful of a weekend as I did. If not, I wish I were you.

Vacation!

I took 3 days off to take Myan to Chelan to visit Papa and so I could: see Tiffany and Stephanie, catch up on old times, let Myan play with Evony, relax, eat, enjoy.

I got snowed in and couldn't come back the day I was scheduled -- but other than that -- everything went smoothly. We went out with Chava and Tiff for meals -- hung out inside (it was 18 degrees!) and watched house hunters (my dad and i love that show) but spent most of our time watching Myan be her adorable self.

It was a nice, relaxing vacation with a few of those 'uh-oh' moments thrown in where I saw old classmates of Kelly's.

Myan and I took an afternoon and went to visit Uncle Etha in Tonasket. I didn't tell him I was coming, I thought it would be more fun to surprise him. What 97 year old doesn't like a good surprise?? Myan was very shy at first, but then started playing little games with Uncle Etha and at the end gave him one of her famous hugs. I hear that anyone who talks to Uncle Etha on the phone is hearing all about Myan now. Looks like I'm in the running for most favored niece!

It was fun being back home and wondering what/if it would be like to move back there. Still not sure -- but I think that Myan would love it -- I would love the fact that she'd be safe and that the community would be watching out for her -- but I'm still not sure if I can deal with that damn cold weather -- no rain -- and the hotter than hell summers. Time will tell . . .

Didn't get too many pictures while I was there for some reason -- probably because my camera was frozen :)

Myan & Evony -- straight faced and a little frightened on the slides.

Papa and Myan -- eating ice cream -- probably around 8:30 a.m. :)

Uncle Etha, Myan and me. Such a fun visit. And Uncle Etha has some stories! No, seriously, ask him about the healers in the Philippines.

Myan at the park in Chelan.

what? more ice cream??

The first time I tried putting Myan on Uncle Etha's lap for a picture.

aaah, sleeping at Papa's.
