The Flooring is Almost Done!

The flooring + base molding is installed in 2 rooms!! They're coming back this morning to finish. Here are some (not so great) shots from last night. Can't wait to move everything back in!! Still a lot of little detail work that I have to do before that - but that's the life of constant upgrading. That, and going broke doing it.

Remodeling s.u.c.k.s.

I'm having new floors put in all 3 bedrooms -- because 1) i have 3 dogs roaming my house and 2) i have a 2 year old following them.

We're in week 2 of the remodel and I'm going BONKERS. I had no idea that I had SO much stuff crammed into those 3 rooms, Honestly, what is it all there for? I have no idea, but this I will say -- about 3/4 of it won't be going back in.

this is an odd tilting of my bedroom wall -- it used to be floor to ceiling windows -- but it was freeezing in the winter and hot as hell in the summer. so, now it will just be a nice entry to my new bedroom deck and a little window to let in some fresh air. (the 'stripes' on the floor are the molding that i'm painting)

I got up this morning -- usual: shower, garbages, fed the dogs, dressed myan, moved the bed (construction zone) . . .

and when i was doing myan's hair -- i got my first ever unprompted 'i love you mom' from my sweetheart...

yes, i cried.

Nicole's Birthday!

This is Nicole (amt mikki) and Myan last night at the party!

We got invited to a small gathering birthday party last night for one of my oldest friends on this side of the mountains. We had home made mac and cheese (which was the best thing that i've ever eaten) and salad -- wine, beer, etc! We had a wonderful time -- chill and fun. A perfect way to spend a Thursday evening -- even though I was so, so, so tired. Get over it, J! Life is passing you by!
