Myan's first night rollar skating was perfect! A group of us from work drove to Bremerton to go to dollar night at the local rink. I tried to get on the floor with Myan so she could see the lights and watch the kids skating, but the manager came over and said that she was too small to be on the floor. Serious let-down. However, she did ask if I wanted a stroller. A stroller? She said that they had strollers that could be used on the rink floors. YES, I wanted one. She went and got me one, noticing that I couldn't maneuver my own skated feet and a baby in my arms. I strapped Myan in and away we went! The disco ball was blazin, the music was loud and Myan was dancing (literally out of her seat) and clapping and having the best time. 2 1/2 hours of pure enjoyment for all of us. Auntie Lee met us at the rink (although none of the pics of her turned out) and even though I heard that Auntie Lee took some spills, I never witnessed any. She strolled Myan around the skate floor and I'm sure came all-too-close to something that I'm glad I didn't see!Skating brings back old memories for me of being in Chelan and riding the Boogie Bus to the rink in Wentachee on Friday nights. We'll definiately be going again.
